iPhone, iTouch, Normal Cell, property....

Random title, but it's what I've been thinking about. I'm going to see if I can swing some sorta deal for any one of those items lol. Not really a post to be honest, just informing the masses that my cold is getting better, I still sound kinda funny but I'm getting better, I'm taking meds finally to get better. I get paid this week which is GOOD since I'm on my last bit of $$. I can finally pay off my credit card and clear it for good.

I miss new TV, I haven't seen anything since being here, so I feel completely out of the loop. The odd thing is that it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, guess all this means is that I'll have to buy the seasons next year and spend a week watching LOADS of TV.

I think mid November I'm going to actually visit potential apartments, I'm leaning towards finding a shared accommodation so I can save money, and live more comfortably since I'll have more disposable income to buy other crap. So those thinking of crashing at my pad may have to rethink if I'm sharing a small ass place lol.

Nov 8th is coming up soon, that will be my 2 month mark here. Pretty amazing when you think about it how much has happened in such a short amount of time. I'm already in a routine at work, by next month I'll have my first sales target which begins the never ending cycle of sales pressure.

I need to buy more clothes for work, specifically shirts and cufflinks, seems everyone at work sports french cuffed shirts. I'm trying to at least maintain that level of professionalism lol I'm trying at least!

Christmas?

So I've been thinking about coming back for Christmas, but after my dad gave me the potential fares I'm thinking that it's not such a good idea. It's looking like Ram's wedding will be my triumphant return back to Toronto. All this means is that I got a few days before the year is out to possibly check out some part of Europe. I'm leaning towards Spain and France. Only time will tell though. I've been battling a cold the last few days, I think I'm coming out the end of it. This month is fast coming to an end, November will be a big month for me, first month with a target at work, my 25 b'day, and my first venture into property. I'm thinking of trying to get a move on with my search since it's high time I live on my own for a bit. So lots of things happening soon enough.

Long time coming...

Alright people, I apologize for the long delay since I got here. So I'll recap as quickly as I can. For starters, I found a job with a company called MessageLabs, they basically provide security over email and web applications, I'm a Corporate Sales Executive over the UK region (whatever that means). I'm a week into work and enjoying it, they sent me to Gloucester for training which is near a few local towns, the area is quite beautiful (The ones surrounding Gloucester that is). It was here that I met another new starter by the name of Andy. Ironically we're the same age, key difference is that he's a married bloke. The really bizarre thing is that his wedding day was the day of my arrival in the UK.

The first night in Gloucester we hit up Cheltnam, BEAUTIFUL area. Had dinner and saw "The Kingdom", it was a really tiring day but well worth it. The second night was really cool in that Andy invited me to have dinner with a friend from his Uni, it seems that his friend Richard had bought a house in a nearby area and wanted us to come for dinner. Richard's gf cooked dinner and it was great, we chatted for a long time about all sorts of randomness, they wanted to know about Canada and my past which was cool, really nice people and the house was really nice. The third and final night, I went with Andy to have dinner with his wife's cousin Rebecca. She too was married not too long ago and recently bought a place, so I again was lucky enough to have another free meal and meet a new face. It was all in all a really intense training session coupled with the crazy dinners. I found it bizarre considering that Andy and I had known each other for 3 days, so his hospitality and kindness was shocking to say the least!

(Saturday) The weekend came about and I was finally able to go out, so again Andy invited me out to watch the Rugby match, England vs. France which was NATIONAL news down here, every bar was packed to the limit. I met up with Andy at night, I got to meet his wife Anna who was REALLY nice, I felt like I knew her considering I had met her cousin before hand, plus hearing Andy go on about her painted a picture. I than met Sim and Laura later on in the evening, two very cool people indeed. We all hit up a pub and had a few while watching the match, the game was AMAZING considering that England was losing for most of it, but came back in the dying mins to win it. We hung out for a bit longer before leaving for food, we ended up eating Kebabs and taking em back to Andy's flat. By the time it was time for me to go, all the trains had gone, so Andy and Anna made me crash at their place, again their kindness shocked me! I slept in the guest room and basically was their alarm clock. I left their flat around 9 and headed back home.

(Sunday) Made it back home by brunch lol basically did the clean up and explained where I had been all night. This time I ended up going to the world U.K Break Dancing Competition, it was AMAZING! I have to say, Korea is far and away the most unique breakers on the planet, the things they were doing would blow anyones mind. To be honest, outside of France, the best breakers were Asian, they were coming up with some really eye popping moves that had the crowd going crazy. It ended pretty late and we all scrambled back home, I got in at like midnight and needed to get up for my first official day of work.

Work was good, should get good once they let me do my thing, it's been good fun so far in London. I'm hoping to meet up with Ram's friend Heather sometime soon and a few family friends. Going out for a drink after work is the easiest way it seems, have a going away thing to go to on Wed for a girl at work. Now to sit back and relax, have some reading to do for work, also gotta get my reciepts so I can expense my training trip. Sadly no pics, but I'm thinking I'll just post pics on Facebook, so if you wanna see anything, join facebook! That comment is pretty much directed at my brother. You know who you are

On a side note...I encourage anyone and everyone to listen to "A fine frenzy", she's a brilliant artist that Krishna got me hooked on....on a further sidenote. Radiohead released their new album via the web, the weird thing is you could basically pay whatever amount you want for it. Forgetting about that stroke of genius, the media outlets are going crazy over this new issue, and what it really costs to buy music, or for that matter what we really think of buying music. The album itself is one of the better Radiohead albums in years, to be honest it's as tight as their earlier albums. Fits in the mix with "The Bends" and "OK Computer". I don't know what it is about this band, but I still believe they are the best band out there....well of my generation at least (If they are my generation, not too sure..but one thing is certain, Radiohead rock)
